Ouch!

Today Gigi received her first round of shots. Worry was my middle name as I entered the doctor's office. I remember taking Wally for his first round and it broke my heart to see him squirm and scream. Luckily, Gigi had a slightly different reaction. She didn't even notice the first shot. The second, third and fourth, however, she met with a healthy roar. Then it was over and she easily settled down. The nurse put two sesame street band-aids over the spots and handed her to me to nurse. This moment was one of the rare occasions when I felt completely happy to be a nursing mother. It was wonderful to be able to comfort my daughter this way. She ate for a good 30 minutes and then we headed home. She is now snuggly napping in her car seat. She will eat again at 1:30PM and then it is back to snooze land. Hopefully all will be calm and relaxing for her the rest of the day.

Hello world

Georgia Grace is our first, beautiful daughter. Here is her birth annoncement. GrandPapa Jim snapped the main photograph the day after Georgia arrived home at Villa Hermosa. The panel photographs were taken by yours truly after a good feeding and a diaper change. Georgia was around 3 weeks old in those photographs. She looks so happy doesn't she?
